£20,000 for Porter who slipped
John Glass, a porter at the Causeway Hospital, sustained injuries when he stepped on some loose patient charts lying on the floor of a doctor’s office. He slipped causing his left knee to twist under him as he fell resulting in him being off work for 2 months and his employment was terminated because of his injuries. High Court proceedings were issued on his behalf and following negotiations with the Defendants who initially denied liability the case was settled for £20,000.
After the case Mr. Glass said “I could not thank Thompsons McClure enough for the help and support given and I would recommend them to anyone that is injured at work or elsewhere. No one should have any concerns about approaching them as they could not have been more helpful. I will be forever grateful. They gave me back my life”.
